Western Inter University Geoscience Conference 2009

Every year the Western Inter-University Geosciences Conference (WIUGC) brings geoscience students from across Western Canada together in an academic forum to share research initiatives and recent discoveries. The WIUGC provides a rare and important opportunity for undergraduate as well as graduate students to present innovative and pertinent scientific research to other students, academia and industry in the form of technical talks, poster presentations and forums. While the promotion of student research is the primary objective of the conference, WIUGC also provides a venue to network with future fellow geoscientists, discuss industry specific employment issues and mix with industry sponsors.
